Nip / Tuck

Ronn filmed an episode of Nip / Tuck that aired in December of 2006.  In this episode, Ronn played a ventriloquist (surprise, surprise!!) who has a strange relationship with his puppet, who oddly enough, looks exactly like Ronn.  As it turns out, Ronn’s puppet is rather rude and believes that Ronn should undergo severe plastic surgery to return to the way he looked 20 years ago.  Dr. Sean performs radical facial plastic surgery, attempting to return Ronn to his earlier glory days.  The episode (and Ronn’s performance) got rave reviews.

David Letterman

Ronn and Scorch were invited to join David Letterman in September of 2006 as he welcomed “Ventriloquist Week.”  Ronn’s performance was a huge hit, as thousands of fans have requested the video clip of this performance on the Internet and written rave reviews.  Mr. Letterman proclaimed that “Ventriloquist Week” will definitely be returning to the Late Show in the future, and hopefully Ronn as well!

Theater Performance in Paris, France

In mid-September 2006, Ronn was invited to perform at a theater in Paris, France by the famous producer and artist, Philippe Parreno.  Philippe is most famous for his directing of a full-length documentary of the French soccer star, Zinedine Zidane.  Philippe has recently had major shows at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, and the Kunstverein Münich.  Philippe invited Ronn to perform as a ventriloquist in his avant-garde production in the Arts and Theater district in Paris.

MDA Telethon

In September of 2006, Ronn performed once again for the National and Local Muscular Dystrophy Telethons hosted by Jerry Lewis.  Prior to taking the stage, Ronn was graciously lauded by Jerry Lewis as, “the most talented friend who has even performed at the MDA telethon.” As usual, Ronn put on a great show, ending with a rousing ovation."
